During May and October, our dealerships will donate for each car sold or serviced to the Violet Foundation for Pediatric Brain Cancer, aligning with Brain Tumor Awareness Month in May and Violet’s birthday in October.

About DIPG
DIPG, aggressive brain tumors primarily affecting children, are nearly always fatal. While children remain mentally alert, DIPG robs them of basic functions such as walking, eating, and speaking. Despite its severity, DIPG treatment hasn't advanced since 1962, and childhood cancers receive only 4% of government research funding. However, some promising results in immunotherapy trials offer hope. This highlights the crucial role of private funding from organizations like the Violet Foundation, given the limited resources available.

Cancer is the leading cause of death from disease in children, with Brain Cancer being the deadliest type. DIPG, a form of brain cancer, accounts for nearly half of these fatalities.

DIPG mainly occurs in children aged 4 to 11 but can also impact both younger children and young adults.
Overall Survival
Near 0%
Over 90% of children with DIPG die within two years, and the survival rate is under 1%.
Lifespan
11 Months
Although there are rare cases of longer survival, children with DIPG typically live for about 9-12 months.

Recent advancements have greatly enhanced researchers' knowledge of these tumors, leading experts to believe that a cure for DIPG is now possible.
